What’s included in my tour?
Prices include all hotel accommodations, including one pre-night prior to tour start date, meals as specified in your tour’s itinerary, land transportation, airport transfers, sightseeing as specified in your tour’s itinerary, luggage handling, gratuities and services of hotel and restaurant staff, housekeeping, bellmen, and local guides. Services of your driver and Tour Director are included but their gratuities are not. (Please refer to your travel documents for tipping guidelines).
As a service, Riviera can book your airfare at a separate cost. In addition to airfare, guests will be responsible for airline fees, airport or departure taxes, excess luggage charges and visas. We are also happy to book additional pre-nights, and post-night hotel stays at an additional cost.
Guests are responsible for all incidental costs such as phone calls, room service, laundry, alcoholic and bar beverages, mineral water, and soft drinks.
Is my money protected?
We have placed a $1 million cash deposit with our credit card provider ensuring you are financially protected at all times. In addition Riviera Tours is a member of the following organizatons NTA, IATA and ASTA.
Making a Booking
Where can I find the Booking Terms and Conditions?
Our Booking Terms and Conditions can be found on the back of the Prices and Departure Dates booklet, Please note that the Booking Terms and Conditions form the basis of your contract with Riviera Tours. We strongly recommend that you take time to read them.
How do I make a Booking?
Book online or call one of our Travel Consultants toll free at 888 887 9860 between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday, or complete a booking form and return by mail or fax to Riviera Tours.
How can I pay for my Booking?
Payment can be made by either check, debit or credit card.
What is Riviera Tours payment policy?
At the time of booking, a Riviera Tours Consultant will require a deposit to confirm your reservation. Alternatively we can place a complimentary hold on your booking for a period of 5 business days, at which point the deposit is due or the reservation will lapse. Final payment for all tours is due at the Riviera Tours office, 60 days prior to departure.
Do you offer travel protection?
We offer comprehensive travel insurance through TripMate. Please ask one of our Travel Consultants at the time of booking, or visit www.tripmate.com for more information.
What documentation will I receive after making my Booking?
Once you have confirmed your booking with a deposit, you will receive a booking confirmation by mail within 10 days, or by email (at your request). You will also receive Passenger and Flight Information forms. Carefully review all these forms, checking for accuracy. Make sure that the passport numbers and the names of each passenger appear exactly as they are written on the passports. In the event that Riviera Tours has booked your air, please check that this information is correct, failure to do so may result in denied boarding or airline penalties up to 100% of the full ticket price. If you have booked your own air, we ask that you complete the Flight Information Request Form and return it to Riviera Tours as soon as possible.
Amendments & Cancellations
How do I cancel my booking?
If you wish to cancel your booking, please contact us at 888 887 9860. We also require a written confirmation of your cancellation sent to Riviera Tours, 501 Kings Highway East, Ste 200, Fairfield, CT 06825, or you may email it to us at service@rivieratours.com or fax to 888 887 9861. Please include your name, booking number, tour description and dates of travel. Please note cancellation charges will apply as detailed in our Booking Conditions.
If you do not have travel insurance, cancellations of confirmed bookings and transfer to new travel dates may result in penalties and fees.
How do I make a change to my booking?
You can make changes to your booking up to 56 days prior to tour departure after incurring any fees. Changes made within final payment will be processed as a full cancellation and new reservation. Cancellation fees would apply which may be covered according to your specific travel insurance policy and new insurance would need to be purchased to cover the new reservation. If you are not carrying travel insurance, any addtional costs levied by our suppliers, as a result of the change, will be passed along to the guest. Booking changes may result in the loss of confirmed airline reservations or an increased airfare, for which the passenger would be responsible.
Motor coaches
How are motor coach seats allocated?
Riviera Tours operates a seat rotation system allowing each passenger the opportunity to enjoy various views from the motor coaches.
What kind of motor coaches do you use?
The coaches used are of executive standard and feature air-conditioning (where appropriate). In all cases, regular comfort stops will be made to ensure a relaxing journey.
Flights
Seat or Special Meal Requests
If Riviera Tours is booking your air, please advise your Travel Consultant of any seating or meal requests. If you require wheelchair or any other special assistance, please advise as soon as possible. As a courtesy, Riviera Tours will pass along your requests, which are subject to airline confirmation
When will my flight times be confirmed?
Departure times will be indicated on your confirmation invoice, however airlines may change flight departure and arrival times at the last minute. We suggest you reconfirm with your carrier the morning of your flight
If Riviera Tours books my air, how will I receive my tickets?
You will be issued an e-ticket. After you make your final payment, we will send you your travel documents and an Air Confirmation Sheet which will list your e-ticket and Air Confirmation ID numbers. You may view your e-ticket online, and even print your boarding pass, by going to the Airline’s own website and entering in these numbers. If your Air Confirmation is not included, please follow up with a Riviera Tours Travel Consultant as soon as possible.
What is my check-in time?
For international travel, recommended check-in time is three hours prior to departure.
What is my luggage allowance?
You are allowed one piece of checked luggage per person, not to exceed 50lbs per piece. Please check with your air carrier for size restrictions of checked and hand luggage. Riviera cannot assume liability or accept claims for loss or damage to luggage or personal effects due to theft, wear and tear or breakage through hotel or airline handling.
